You may have seen this familiar view on social media for the past months.
A lot of you may have been asking, “Where is this place?!” or have been planning to visit to have their death-defying photos like this one.
Or this one
This place is a part of the Mt. Ulap Ecotrail or the Ampucao-Sta. Fe mountain ridge to be exact. The ecotrail has 5 stations, namely Ambanao Paoay, Gungal, Mt. Ulap, Pong-ol burial caves and Sta. Fe.
To reach this place, you have to ride the jeepneys going to Sitio Ampucao, Itogon. These jeepneys are located near the Baguio Center Mall along Magsaysay Avenue. The trip takes around 45 mins max from Baguio City and will directly take you to the registration hall at Sitio Ampucao.
You will have to pay a registration fee of P100 (a student discount is available but only if a student ID is presented) and a guide fee of P400. The guide can only accommodate a maximum of 10 persons so if your group exceeds the limit, you will have to hire another one. No one is allowed to proceed with the trail without a guide for safety purposes.
After the registration, you’re off to a wonderful journey! The trip will take approximately 4 hours to reach the Mt. Ulap summit.
The trek is really exhausting and dangerous.
Rocky and steep
A wrong step is absolutely fatal.
Definitely.
But everything is worth it!
The grassy mountains of New Zealand?
Or the rainforests of the Amazon?
That majestic view!

Tired but happy.
People usually flock to the trail at weekends so expect a lot of company.
So what are waiting for? Pack your bags, the clock is ticking!
