Saint Louis University (SLU) better known as the “Light of the North” will be launching its flagship job fair for their graduates and which shall be branded and known as “SIKAP.” SIKAP is a tagalog word which means to strive, to persevere, or to work diligently. SLU chose the word “SIKAP” for it encompasses the overall objective of the Job Fair to showcase the diligence and perseverance of the Filipino workforce.
SIKAP will be launched every year inviting the top corporations and industries from across the Philippines. SIKAP will be launched on April 20, 2017 at the Prince Bernhard Gym, SLU Main Campus and April 21, 2017 at the Devesse Plaza, SLU Maryheights Campus. The two day event will be from 8am-4pm.
Graduates or applicants should bring several copies of the following documents:
- Resume
- Valid ID
- Transcript of Records
- Multiple sized ID photos
- *Other pertinent documents (SSS, Philhealth, TIN, NBI or Police Clearance if any)
This event is a joint project of the SLU Guidance Center and the newly launched External Relations, Media Communications and Alumni Affairs Office (ERMCAAO). The University aims to gather a good number of applicants through the collaboration of the two offices.
SLU SIKAP Job Fair 2017 is driven with the intention to strengthen the ties between the University and the various industries by reaching out to more companies both local, national, and in the near future would be International companies participating as well.
The event aims to gather applicants in the field of Business, Natural Sciences, Medical Sciences, Engineering, Architecture, Academe, Information Technology, and many more.
